Homeopathy is a gentle system of medicine that has no side effects and is a first choice of treatment on organic farms. There is increasing evidence of its effectiveness in the farm situation. This day is intended as an introduction to the use of homeopathic remedies to help prevent disease and deal with simple ailments on the farm or small-holding.

The day will include a brief discussion of the theory and use of homeopathy and will then go on to look at specific approaches to disease in the more common farm animals, including sheep, cattle, pigs and chickens.

At the end of the day those attending should have the knowledge and confidence to treat their animals using basic homeopathic principles and remedies.
