4Apr2010: Organic Easter Egg Hunt

Soil Association Organic Easter Egg Hunt (supported by Green & Blacks) Easter week (in the run up to 4 April 2010)

This year we are again working with Green and Blacks on a project to encourage families to visit organic farms over the Easter period. The aim is to have a whole range of regional Easter Egg Hunts in a similar way to last year when 42 organic farms opened their gates. This year we are keen to reach a target of 50 farms. Green and Blacks have gererously offered mini-eggs for the children taking part and the Soil Association will list all the venues on our website.

We envisage that the hunt will involve colourful egg-shaped cut outs hidden around the farm for children to find. The children who get nearest the actual number will win the main eggs. Green and Blacks will promote the events on-pack/online and our website will have a childrens activity book that families can print off. This will provide an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to run an Easter event to gain some good publicity and free prizes.
