Cornish Diet

I think this is basically a good idea as a starting point for the transition to a post peak oil diet. My immediate thoughts are:-

Local climate (ie, relatively wet) will impose challenges re crops such as potatoes, tomatoes re blight.
Need to research what crops were grown locally pre oil revolution so we know what is possible to grow here eg. how much arable was there? How well do cereals grow in our soils?
What is currently being produced in Cornwall and where?
What would the comparison in carbon emmissions between say various people driving to Hayle for something or having it delivered as opposed to getting it from a local supermarket (shock, horror) which already has the transport infrastructure?
What do we actually need in terms of diet?

What does everyone else think?
