PLANT SWAP
The new 2016 season will start April 2nd at St Barts Churchyard every Saturday morning (unless torrential rain stops play!) be there early … 10 – 12 midday.
- Lots of Heritage Seeds
- More Runner Beans and Courgettes than ever before
This year we have been listed in the Heritage Seed Catalogue alongside the many national events and appear to be the only weekly Plant and Seed Swap in the country.
Also we have some very special Lostwithiel Sweet Chestnut saplings… germinated from the nuts from the Coulson Park Green Network trees .. Planted after a tornado removed some ancient trees at the end of the last century and funded by the Paper Mountain collection which used to happen in Lostwithiel during the 1980’s .. before paper banks! So from paper to trees … result!!!

COMMUNITY APPPLE TREES AT THE BRAMBLES
The bad news... the vacant plot where we planted 4 apple trees in Dec 2009 has been given planning permission for a house by Cornwall Council despite 16 online objections and an objection from Lostwithiel Town Council.

The good news... the trees have been relocated to a private allotment in town and have settled in well (despite recent gales). Many thanks to residents of The Brambles for tending them all these years.
