TRANSITION PENWITH FOOD GROUP
Tuesday February 18, 10:00am to 12:00pm
Central Penzance venue to be confirmed
Lynne Coakley-Dyer would like to bring together all the people who signed up at the end of Andy Wilson's talk last Summer. The idea is to get together as a group to discuss Local Food and maybe put an action plan together for 2014. This will hopefully be the first of a series of regular monthly meetings. Please let Lynne know if you're going to attend as this will affect the venue which is chosen.

MILLENNIUM WOODS WORKING HORSE DAY
Sunday February 23, 11:00am to 3:00pm
Millenium Woods, off the A30 in Penzance
It's now time to cut the next load of hazel in Millennium Woods before hauling it up to where the charcoal kilns are going. Chris Cooke has agreed to bring the horse in as a kind of training exercise, and Jo might do the same, possibly working them as a pair. Would be good to see as many people as possible to help organise wood stacks for hauling. Come along to behold the spectacle or make tea around the campfire:

Penny Cornell is hoping to organise more frequent events for little'uns at Millennium Woods so contact her if you'd like to be kept informed:

REGEN SW SEEKS COMMUNITY ENERGY CHAMPIONS
As part of their Community Support Programme, Regen SW are looking to recruit Community Energy Champions, who they hope will be able to work closely with them and who will be willing to act as local spokespeople for community energy. They're looking for confident people who would be available for interview by local media; would provide quotes for press releases; and attend community meetings. In return they will provide training; networking opportunities; pay expenses to speak at local events as agreed in advance etc
