RESULT - THANK YOU!
...to all those who supported the 10th annual Jumble Sale on 5 October run by Christine Jones, Jan Simon, Diane Best and many volunteers. Over £900 was raised - a record! The Church Rooms were packed all morning and the cakes and soup sold out! Donations this year will go to NSPCC, the Merlin Centre and local groups... good quality unsold items were passed on to the Cornwall Hospice... a winner all round.

CORNWALL FILM FESTIVAL
November 8, 9 & 10, Lighthouse Cinema, Newquay. in the Church Rooms, Lostwithiel. This year's selection includes 22 feature films, 100+ shorts, workshops, talks and Q&As with directors and producers. Includes THE MOO MAN, documentary about British Farmer Stephen Hook who has decided to buck the trend of bigger herds and farms (requested after our screening of CHASING ICE). PROJECT WILD THING
Friday 15 November 7pm, Church Rooms, Lostwithiel. Naturally Learning and Lost In Film are showing the documentary Project Wild Thing. Filmmaker David Bond is a worried man. His kids' waking hours are dominated by a cacophony of marketing, and a screen dependence threatening to turn them into glassy-eyed zombies. Like city kids everywhere, they spend way too much time indoors - not like it was back in his day. He decides it's time to get back to nature - literally. Tickets £5 available from Naturally Learning.

GET READY FOR GARDENERS MARKET 2014
All cuttings, seeds and plants, unwanted Garden Equipment and pots will be gratefully received! The shrub and plant rescue has proved to be popular - a lot of shrubs and plants have found new homes.

CHRISTMAS DIARY DATES
Dickensian Night 12th December - there will be a sale of lovely hand crafted work in the Drill Hall from Ragged Edges and Sew What .. raising money for Charity

AT THE INFORMATION CENTRE IN LOSTWITHIEL'S COMMUNITY CENTRE

Run completely by volunteers (there is no County Council funding) promoting the town, accommodation, businesses and the area to many visitors and local people all year.
