7. Open Boiler Visits – Wednesday 18th September

Many homes, businesses and communities from across Devon are enjoying heat produced from biomass. The 18th September is your opportunity to meet one near you.

Heating is often a hidden technology, but on the 18th September 2013, over 30 biomass boiler owners and the businesses that supply them will be opening their sites to you, free of charge.

Hotels, leisure centres, care homes, offices, farms the list goes on for businesses and communities benefiting from clean heat. Devon has the highest number of biomass heat installations in the south west, and an experienced and competent supply chain is busy delivering them up and down the county. If you have ever considered finding out more about reducing your fuel bills, how much a boiler is, or what’s involved with the Renewable Heat Incentive, this is the day to do it!

How to get involved

Simply take a look at the list of open biomass sites here (http://www.regensw.co.uk/event/2013/9/18/renewable-heat-at-work), find the site or sites that you would like to visit and register your interest here (http://renewableheatatwork.eventbrite.co.uk/).

The Renewable Heat at Work event is a collaboration of Devon based businesses and their customers working together to raise the profile of biomass heat.

Click here (https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=215299263798499997947....) to view all the open sites

Ask owners and installers alike about the reality of engaging with biomass, project costs, fuel savings, RHI, maintenance etc. This is a unique opportunity for you to see first-hand a biomass boiler near you, and meet the businesses involved. The Renewable heat at work event is being supported by Devon County Council and the Forestry Commission, in partnership with Regen SW.
