The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 21st April 2015 at 7.00pm at Jericho’s, 4 Northgate St., Launceston PL15 8BD

For over 40 years John Adams has been engaged in discussions about risk and how it is ‘managed’. He had developed a way of framing risk problems that has proved useful to people struggling with a wide variety of concerns – ranging from the safety of children’s playgrounds to the management of hedge funds. He had conducted workshops for pharmaceutical companies, the Navy and field operatives from MI6! He has contributed to a conference of forensic psychiatrists charge with assessing the risks of releasing potentially dangerous people, and has advised a well known company pondering the development of a genetically modified yoghurt. But his initial and still his principal interest in risk has been focused on road safety. Since before 1950 there has been a dramatic fall in the death rate per motorised vehicle kilometre in Britain. What might have caused it? And is it all good news?
We look forward to seeing you at Jericho’s on the 21st April.
