19Jun2013: Women in Rural Business

Women in Rural Business
Health & Safety Event

Royal Agricultural University, Emrys Jones Centre, Stroud Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 5PU

Wednesday 19th June 2013 10:30 - 14:00

Please find attached a copy of our Women in rural business events programme which is for women who own or manage a business based in a rural environment. The first event “Health and Safety“ is being held here at the Royal Agricultural University on the 19th June 2013.

On average, between 40 and 50 workers are killed on British farms every year. That’s a higher death rate than construction or manufacturing. The aim of the day is to explain the UK’S current H&S regime and your liability to protect the H&S of employees and others who may be affected by what you do. The event will consist of present case studies, best practice tips, including dealing with a critical incident.

This subsidised event is being sponsored by Law firm Veale Wasbrough Vizards and South West Rural Update, delivered through the RAU Skills Programme which is part of the Rural Development Programme for England, and the delegate fee is £6.25. The price includes all refreshments and lunch.

Places are limited so to register for this event please go to www.vwv.co.uk or complete the enclosed booking form.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would please consider forwarding the information on to anyone that you feel may find the event of interest.

Kind regards and best wishes
